Welcome back everyone to Call Me CEO. This is the very first of a very special series that I'm starting here on Call Me CEO and I couldn't be more excited to do it here with you today. It is called Fearless Friday. Now, Fearless Friday was inspired by you, actually. I was getting requests about wanting more episodes for motherhood and also wanting more help with starting a business, feeling that confidence, and really tapping into what your passion and what your drive is. Now, these episodes are called Fearless Friday because I'm going to be speaking with you about ditching the fear and going for it because as a mother, we have a lot of demands that are pushed on us. We have a lot of exciting things we're thinking about and perhaps a lot of you are feeling uninspired. Maybe you're thinking, "I don't know what I want to do. I don't know how I could even imagine making money from home." You're listening to these interviews and thinking, "But how can it be me?"
Well, I want to tell you my story. Now, when I thought about creating a business online, it started as a curiosity and it also started as something that was very scary to me in the beginning. That is why when I first started, I thought, "Oh, I really need a team and a group of people to do this with." Now, you might have access to a team. You might have a partnership that you think would be a good fit for you right now and maybe you don't. I've learned things from partnerships that I've loved and I do not regret having. I've also learned that there's a lot of strength in finding that calling within yourself and calling the shots yourself.
So, whether you decide a partnership is right for you or not, there are certain steps you want to take about discovering your why and your purpose and it has to be something internal that comes from a place of love and not fear. So, how do we ditch those fears and how do we move forward with creating a business, creating a purpose or even just feeling more in control of our lives as moms and connecting to who we are? So, these Fearless Fridays are going to establish that. I will do episodes that are geared more towards business and also some that are geared more towards motherhood.
But today, I wanted to share with you my story a little bit about why I am creating a course for you about how to build your own virtual assistant business. Now, this is an announcement that just came out this week about me developing a program. It's brand new. It's called 60 Days To VA and I've had a lot of really positive interactions and people that are curious and some that are saying, "What is a VA? I don't even know what a VA is."
Okay. So, for those of you don't know what a VA is, a VA is a virtual assistant. It's essentially an executive assistant that people use to grow an online business or a brick-and-mortar business. So, that could be anything from invoicing, copywriting, doing design, Canva, social marketing, outreach, editing in audio or text. It could be Pinterest. It could be Instagram. It could be Facebook. It could be web development. It could be writing books for someone, QuickBooks, or doing their financial work, accounting. So, that is just a teeny tiny bit of what a virtual assistant can do.
But here is my promise. There are businesses now more than ever that are growing and thriving online. And if there are two questions that I get the very most, it's, "How can I make money from home?" And my CEO friends, my business owning friends, "How do I outsource and continue to grow my business?" And a virtual assistant is the answer to both of those questions.
So, while I haven't worked myself as a virtual assistant, I am developing this program with a virtual assistant. I have hired many virtual assistants to help grow my business and replace my efforts in doing what I've done for my business solo or with a partner, and now outsourcing that so I can work on my business instead of in my business. And what's really cool about that is that by becoming a virtual assistant yourself, you're not only helping other people to grow their business, but you're creating your own business at the same time.
So, what is this virtual assistant program going to look like? Well, as the name says, it's 60 Days To VA. So, in a course of two months, I'm breaking down what you need to do to establish your why, figure out what talents you already have that could help you to understand what skill set you might do as a virtual assistant, which by the way, there is a free quiz at camillewalker.co for you to do that as well. And then, also break down the nitty gritty training of what is in demand right now. What is demand that is something that you could do on your own terms, on your own schedule and helping you find clients?
And here is the best part. I have connection with a lot of incredible women who are building businesses online and who are asking for virtual assistants, but they want really good virtual assistants. Don't we all? Now, in my experience, being able to work from home has been the best gift of my life and when I talk about sharing my story and my why, that is my why. I want to create opportunities for more moms to be at home with their babies and be able to work from home on their terms and whether that means you want to do three hours a week or 15 or 25. That is what I love about becoming a virtual assistant is that you don't have to come out of the gate with a certain number of followers the way you would as an influencer or the way you would as a blogger. That takes years to develop. I worked as a blogger for probably three years before I saw a dime and that's just the way it is. It's a long-term haul. As a virtual assistant, however, you can come out of the gate and I'm going to get you help clients from Day 1.
And as I've been talking about this, literally it's been the last six months. Every single person I talk to that I've interviewed on my show and they say, "Hey. What are you working on?" And I mention, "I'm creating this virtual assistant course." They say, "Send me your people as soon as they're done. I need a good virtual assistant for XYZ." And there is so much opportunity.
So, I'm going into this scared, you guys. This is new to me. I've never launched a course. This is new.
