“Call Me CEO” is your master-class on innovation, creativity, leadership, and finding YOUR perfect balance between motherhood and entrepreneurship.

The holidays promise wonder but often deliver a wall of noise. Between year-end targets, school events, and pressure to buy the perfect gifts, even the steady among us can feel frayed. This conversation reframes the season with a practical plan: spend with intention, simplify decisions, and support your nervous system. We begin with clarity—what do you actually need? Taking inventory of your pantry, closet, toiletries, and recurring household items turns Black Friday from a frenzy into a strategy. When you track prices before the hype, you see real deals and skip the bait. A shared list with your partner keeps budgets honest and gifts balanced so the joy doesn’t get swallowed by guesswork.

Buying less can still mean buying better. A quick price log in your notes app helps you avoid “sale theater,” where the tag is loud but the discount is soft. Organize wish lists by person and category, and tag each item with a current price so you can catch genuine drops. Consider travel too; holiday-week sales on flights, hotels, and packages often hide in plain sight. The real win isn’t a cart full of stuff—it’s a season free of last-minute scrambles. Gift sets for staples you already love, planned restocks, and bundles you’ll use every month keep your future self grateful. When spending aligns with values, your calendar and bank account both breathe easier.

Work doesn’t pause for twinkle lights. If you run a product business, fourth quarter can bulldoze your routines. Outsourcing can help: a trained virtual assistant clears the noise so you can focus on growth. Whether you hire or become one, systems matter—document workflows, automate the repeatable, and batch tasks to protect deep work. If you offer services, a limited-time package or coaching bundle can spark demand without discounting your worth. A well-framed Black Friday offer should be clear, time-boxed, and tied to real value, like added sessions or implementation support. The goal isn’t to sprint; it’s to structure your effort so you don’t burn out by New Year’s.

Peace isn’t passive; it’s built in small, consistent actions. Start with micro moments of stillness: two minutes, twice a day, without your phone. Sip a warm drink and breathe—long exhales cue your parasympathetic system, lowering stress and improving focus. If you need prompts, short guided meditations—yes, even those made for kids—work wonders for adults too. Stillness amplifies your yes and clarifies your no. It’s easier to choose what matters when your body no longer feels like an alarm bell. Set a recurring reminder and treat it as hygiene for your mind, the same way you brush your teeth.

Next, redefine enough. Before you say yes to a party, committee, or collaboration, ask: does this bring me closer to peace or pull me away? Enough might mean fewer events, simpler menus, or a gift exchange instead of dozens of individual presents. Enough could be deciding your home doesn’t need to perform the holiday; it just needs to hold it. This shift prevents resentment and preserves energy for the people and projects that matter most. When you simplify commitments, your patience stretches, your presence deepens, and your creativity returns.

Finally, anchor your mornings. The first 10 minutes set your tone. Keep your phone out of reach and try a simple sequence: a full glass of water, three lines of gratitude, one page of free writing, and a quick breath cycle. Alternatively, catch the sunrise with a hot drink or put on a song that lifts your energy. Morning anchors make you proactive instead of reactive, letting you think your own thoughts before the world piles on. End with one “must-move” task for the day—just one—and protect it on your calendar. Small anchors compound; they build the steadiness that makes joy easier to feel.

That is my first tip is to pay attention right now to the things you actually need that would be a great time to save a lot of money on purchases that you can do with Black Friday sales for things that are happening. How do women do it that handle motherhood, family, and still chase after those dreams? Well, listen each week as we dive into the stories of women who know. This is Call Me CEO. Ho ho ho, and welcome to How to Protect Your Peace During the Holidays. This is a solo episode on Call Me CEO. I am your host, Camille Walker, and here we like to celebrate women building businesses and specifically how mothers do that while scheduling and shuffling and organizing and being the bosses that they are in home and in their own businesses. And this episode is for anyone. It is for anyone because listen, I think that being your own boss of your life, being a CEO of your life applies to anyone that's looking to get things done. And the holiday season, the busyness of the holiday season can be so overwhelming and it's easy for all of us to be overwhelmed. Now, if you are listening to this, and I hope that you are listening to it when it comes out because I'm recording this November 6th. It should come out next week on the 11th. And my hope for you is that you take a few key ideas that I have here and apply them into how to reduce that feeling of busyness and also some key takeaways that worked for me. And I'll tell you the first one. I have already started a Black Friday list in my phone. And I will tell you why. Very often we are hit with these Black Friday sales very early. It used to be that it was an in-person event, craziness, people pushing people around and hysteria. Now a lot of our shopping is done online, which is fantastic, but that urgency for buying things because it says Black Friday can be very misleading. So what I do is I have a note in my phone of products that I keep my eye on, and I even write down the price of what they're going for now and I compare them to what the air quote Black Friday pricing is. Because you may find that things are actually less expensive when it isn't Black Friday. I know that sounds crazy, but if you start tracking it, or I'll say, hey, I really love this brand, I stock up on it every year and I buy it at Black Friday prices because I know it's the cheapest price all year. So I also have a list for that. With that being said, there are some products that I am an affiliate of that I would love to share with you an extra discount. I'll put it in the links below. Um, but one of those is Mix Hers. I'm a big fan of Mixhers. It's a product that is designed to help women balance their hormones through natural supplementation with drink mixes. That's why it's called Mix Hers. It helps with anything from keeping your cycle regular to helping with brain fog, uh, fatigue, discomfort, bloating, you name it. But now there are even more products on top of it that are specifically designed for pregnant nursing teenagers, not those altogether, all separate. Perimenopause, menopause, um, mimicking the benefit of GLP1, all of the things. That is a great Black Friday sale. Another one that I love is Clean Simple Eats. I love their brownie batter protein mix. And so do my kids. That is something that goes on a fantastic sale. I'm also an affiliate of theirs. You can use the code Camille. And I love their product because it's an easy way to get my kids to eat protein and it tastes delicious. It tastes like chocolate milk. I love to drink it, they love to drink it. That's a brand that I love. I love to buy products that I makeup and face products that I love and swear by in gift sets because I can typically get them for a lot less than I could just buying them individually one by one. So, an example of that that I actually bought last week, um, November 1st or something, before it was even Black Friday, it was already Black Friday Sales was um an Estee Lauder beauty set that came with makeup remover, creams, and beauty products for a fraction of the cost. Anyway, I'm getting a little bit off topic. But what I also wanted to tell you is that my husband and I also keep a running list, a shared note where we can track what the kids want. We have a list for each of them, what we have purchased for them, and then keeping a tally of what we have spent on each kid so we stay within our budget. This is particularly helpful for me because sometimes I because I shop early, I'll forget what I've bought and I've like shoved it to the back of a cupboard somewhere, or I will have bought one kid a lot more than another, and I'll realize oh no, I need to take a pause on said child and pay attention to this other one. So what I like about it being shared is that you and your spouse or your partner can be on the same page with what's been bought, what's what you still need to get, and then you can also make plans. Another really big tip is to shop for travel on Black Friday as well. Black Friday travel prices are some of the very best that you can get with airlines, hotels, all inclusives, and it can often be overlooked. This is taking a little bit more of a turn than I planned for this episode, but my main key with this is that it is a good time now, early November, to consider what is actually on your list, what you are short in in your things that you actually use, the things that you consume in your kitchen, but also the products that you're using, and consider what would be a good time to purchase said thing. So take inventory. Use this time to take inventory of what is actually missing in your closet, in your pantry, whatever the case may be, because it can be very distracting to look at the bright and shiny of the Black Friday of what everyone's really excited about, and to not consider the things that you're actually using. So that's that is my first tip is to pay attention right now to the things you actually need that would be a great time to save a lot of money on purchases that you can do with Black Friday sales for things that are happening. Now, if you're listening to this and that's a helpful tip, please share this with a friend. I would love for them to hear this and also for you to share your tips with me. So if you're listening to this and wanting to share your tips, you can reach out to me at Call Me CEO Podcast on Instagram or at CamilleWalker.co on Instagram as well. All right, let's go into talking about realistic routines and calming routines that you can do that'll help you to feel more in, I don't want to say in control, because I don't love that word, more in flow of what it is that you want to be getting done. Because let's be honest, the mental load of this time of year is crazy. And it's not necessarily that you're doing something wrong. It could be that you are saying yes to too many things, which is oftentimes saying no to yourself. So let's take a deep breath right now with me. Breathe in and breathe out. I've done a few interviews just this week with two different doctors, a chiropractor and immunologist, and they both talked about the power of breath. This is a free resource to all of us, and too often we forget what it means to reset our parasympathetic system through breath. So I want you to think about something that you've said too recently that actually drains you. What is something that you thought would be a good yes and it turned out to be a really sad no to something else that actually lit you up? What would it be that you could prioritize now, especially in these last three months, where maybe there's something you could release and let go of so that you're having more time to say yes to taking time for you. We're gonna talk about three habits to protect your peace. And I want you to think about these as you go through this busy season. The number one is to create micro moments of stillness. And what does that mean? That means even two minutes a day to purposefully, and if you need to, set an alarm because sometimes we get distracted, but to set aside two minutes where you have no phone, no to-do list, no one asking something of you, but to reset your nervous system. Okay, and that's how we do this with your breathing. That can happen in the car. That could be with a warm drink at the beginning of the day, that could be at the end of the day with a calming ritual. Uh, I have a podcast that I offer called Five Minute Meditations for Kids, which is specifically done to help reset the parasympathetic system through breath and breathing and mindfulness. What is really interesting is that a lot of the parents that are doing these meditations with their kids are writing in to me saying, This has helped me so much. I didn't realize how much I needed to take the time to breathe. And I think that that is so relatable because me too. I really have to make an effort of it. So that's the first thing. Number two is to redefine enough. What does it mean to have enough either in your schedule or enough that you actually expect of yourself? So before you say yes to anything, a school event, a party, another volunteering role, ask yourself will this bring yourself closer to peace or further away from it? Sometimes less is giving yourself permission to simplify and also doing this for yourself benefits not only you but your family because you are less likely to be triggered or to lose your temper or to even have the energy to give the things that your family that you would like to give to your family first. Number three is to anchor your mornings. Morning is a great time to reset. And it could be the first 10 minutes of your day. And this is actually a skill that I'm working on currently and hope to have as a morning reset routine for the new year, is to do the first 10 minutes of the day before you go for the phone, which is a lot of times challenging. That could be a quick, a quick gratitude list where you are write three things that you're grateful for. That could be seeing the morning sunrise with a hot drink in hand. That could be drinking a full glass of water before you drink your daily coffee or whatever that routine might be. That could be listening to an uplift, an uplifting song that gets your energy right, or having a prayer of gratitude. Something that helps to reset your mind, your intention, and what you have planned for the day. One of the resets that I'm hoping to implement is what you call a brain dump, where you do free writing and you write within a journal or a notebook within those first five to 10 minutes of the day to hear what your own thoughts are before you let your mind get inundated with the thoughts and the ideas and impressions of everyone else that comes to our brains when we pick up our phones and look at any form of email, inbox, social media, messages, whatever it is, our brains really need that time to think their own thoughts. So, what does that mean for you? So, as you are looking forward to this new season, make the notes, create the shared notes, and take those three prompts of taking time for yourself. Remember when you protect your peace with each small action, you're saying no to something that drains you, saying yes to one quiet-filled moment for yourself and to remember to create peace around you so that it ripples to those in your family, in your friendships, in your vicinity with people that you work with. And if you are looking for more help or intention for setting those intentions and that peace in your life, you can reach out to me at Kimmelwalker.co on Instagram or set up a free discovery call with me.
